You Can Beat Psoriasis the Natural Way
Seeking relief from psoriasis is not easy. It can be a lifelong
quest. You can search high and low, look everywhere for the perfect cure and still never find it.
There are scads of medications, unguents, creams, lotions and gels available, but they don't always
work. And they are frequently expensive.
It's time consuming, not to mention expensive to smear lotion all
over your body 2-3 times a day or take a pill every day. Most psoriasis sufferers just look
for something that is quick, simple, cheap, and that actually works.
Still, there are some things you can start doing for yourself could
help with your psoriasis. Might even slow down the onset of another outbreak. There are things that
you can change around your house or personally, that won't cost you anything.
In your home, try to find the perfect temperature. Flare-ups can be
caused by changes in the weather outside or the temperature in your own house. Going from one
extreme to the next is never a good thing. Let your body adjust slowly to warmer temperatures or
colder ones. Too much sweat on your body, can lead to irritation and itching which leads to
scratching which can cause skin injuries which can then lead to flare-ups.
Most of your time is spent in your home and/or office, so make
sure you have both places set at your perfect temperature. It can take some time to find that
temperature and other people may have to adjust to it but it will help you in the long run.
Temperature control will probably be easier at home than it will be at work.
Apply moisturizer often during the day. The moisturizer should be
of good quality and fragrance free. Fragrant lotions are very popular with women, but they can
actually irritate your skin. Avoid the high-priced fruit-smelling lotions and opt for one that
offers a good amount of moisture instead. Always remember to lotion up after you shower or bath to
help keep that moisture locked in.
Switch to all-natural products. This means everything you use from
hand soap to makeup should be fragrance-free and all natural. Look for products that are
hypoallergenic and are free of irritants. Change your laundry detergent to a simple non-scented
type.
Follow all of the above steps and you will find that your
psoriasis will be more manageable.
