Beating Psoriasis by Using Natural Methods
Getting relief from psoriasis is not easy. For many it becomes a
lifelong search. You can search all over, look everywhere, look high and low for your perfect cure
and still never find it. Apparently each person's psoriasis case is different, with different
reactions to the commonly used ingredients found in over-the-counter psoriasis creams and
ointments.
Although there are tons of medications, unguents, creams, lotions
and gels available, not all of them work. And they are frequently expensive. You just have to
experiment to see what works for you. Also, people with severe psoriasis often find that
over-the-counter methods for treating and controlling their psoriasis problem will only work for
them for a short period of time. Then they have to experiment again and find something else that
will work.
It's time-consuming, not to mention expensive, to smear lotion all
over your body 2-3 times every day or take pills daily. Most psoriasis sufferers just look
for something that is simple, fast, cheap, and that actually works. So they keep on looking.
While you are looking for your perfect cure, there are things you could get started doing to help
yourself. Simple things that you could do right away that could help with your psoriasis, maybe
even slow down or put off the start of another outbreak.
There are things that you can easily change around your house or
with the way you personally manage yourself, that won't cost you anything. Here are some you might
try:
1. While at home, you should try to find your perfect comfortable temperature there. Psoriasis
flare-ups can be triggered by weather changes outside or changes in the temperature in your own
house. Going from one temperature extreme to another is almost never good for you. Give your body
time to adjust slowly to colder temperatures or warmer ones. Excessive sweat on your body can bring
on irritation and itching. That then can lead to scratching that may cause small skin injuries
which can then lead to psoriasis flare-ups.
2. You probably spend most of your time in your home and/or
office. You should make sure you get both places adjusted to the temperature that is perfect for
you. It make take some time and effort to find that exact temperature. Other people may need to
adjust themselves to it, but it will help you and be well worth it oveer time. Temperature control
will probably be somewhat easier at home than it will be at your office or work.
3. Apply moisturizer lotions or creams frequently throughout each
day. The moisturizer you use should be high quality and it should be fragrance-free. Fragrant
lotions are very popular (especially with women) but they can actually irritate your skin. Avoid
high-priced perfumed lotions and choose those that offer a goodly amount of moisture instead.
Always remember to apply lotion after showering or bathing to help maintain that moisture there and
locked in.
4. Changeover to using all-natural products. Every product you use, from makup to hand soap to
deodorant to aftershave should be fragrance-free, as all natural as possible. Insist on
hypoallergenic products of product that are as irritant-free as possible. Replace your laundry
detergent with a simple non-scented type.
If you follow all of the above steps you will very likely find
that your psoriasis will be more manageable. And good luck to you in finding your perfect
cure!

[Each of us was issued a marvelous human body when we came into
this World. Unfortunately it came without an Owner's/Operator's Manual to tell us how to maintain
and care for it properly.
And so one of our tasks here is to observe, experiment, test and
learn what we need to know to write our own operating manuals]
